The Shawnee High School Lady Wolves compete in the highly competitive 5A district and are continuing to build a strong foundation for the future. With a young roster full of new and upcoming talent, the team is in an exciting period of growth and transition.
Last season marked a milestone, as the Lady Wolves scored the most goals in a single season in the past four years—a testament to their hard work, determination, and progress on the field. Under the leadership of Head Coach Mikel Blitch, the Lady Wolves are developing into a resilient, skilled, and competitive squad that is committed to improving each season and making their mark in the district.
Coach Mikel Blitch – Head Coach, Lady Wolves Soccer Coach Mikel Blitch brings over 15 years of coaching experience across multiple sports to Shawnee High School. The 2024–2025 season marked his first year leading the Lady Wolves Soccer program, where his leadership and vision have already begun driving growth and progress on the field. Under his guidance, the Lady Wolves scored more goals than in any of the previous four seasons, reflecting a renewed energy, improved offensive play, and a foundation for long-term success. In addition to soccer, Coach Blitch also serves as the Defensive Coordinator for the Shawnee Wolves Football team. Before joining Shawnee, he coached at Chancellor High School, Spotsylvania High School, Okemah High School, and Booker T. Washington High School, gaining a wide range of experience coaching football, basketball, softball, baseball, and soccer. His versatility as a coach and his ability to build competitive, disciplined teams have made him an invaluable asset to Shawnee Athletics. With his dedication, experience, and passion for developing student-athletes, Coach Blitch is guiding the Lady Wolves into a new era of growth, resilience, and competitiveness within the 5A district.
